Being happy is such a great feeling. We all live our lives craving for its existence and trying our best for it to be continuous in every event of life. It's crowded and noisy out there that we mistake the moment of pleasure as normal life is. We live such times but we tend to hide the feeling of content and satisfaction as they may vanish soon, not knowing that finding happiness within them is the joy of life. It is not a must that happiness knocks the door and say I am here, we ought to exert efforts in recognizing its existence or uncover its presence. So, what is happiness? Instead of agonizing over this question, why don't we try understanding this term closely?
“It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.”
– Charles Spurgeon
Happiness maybe achieving dreams, building a successful career, having strong relationships and getting a decent income. However, how we do feel and react to these achievements is what determine if we are really happy or now. It is not a must that all people feel happy feelings from the same resources. You cannot say that a rich person is a happy one or a successful businessman doesn't need anything in life anymore. Everyone gets motivated by different causes. What you are striving to make it happen is mostly the most effective reason to make you feel it.
“Family, friends, a good laugh and beautiful weather are the best cures.”
– Bar Refaeli
Happiness is the gladness in trying to be happy. It's finding every good thing in unfortunate events. It's working on every detail of life to make it fit our hearts and bring along our well-being.
“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”
– Abraham Lincoln
It's also about being excited to go through a new level of life whether it's work or personal related. The random affection we grope while starting a new friendship or stepping into a new workplace while expecting amazing results without reading much into any other circumstances. The thrilling emotions we develop when something impossible turns into a reality after a big effort. The priceless satisfaction we seek in the eyes of someone we helped even if we don't know. Somethings maybe planned and so many others are definitely not so that if we really pursue happiness and look for every reason to get us one step closer to it we will attract all the reasons to be happy.
“If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help someone else.”
– Chinese proverb
If you really look for happiness, there are so many routes and roads that lead to it. All you have to do is to be determined to be a happy person.
